Unironically those would last 3000km unless you're doing only city riding with a lot of stop and go. Obviously they should be changed soon but I've seen WAY worse

I don't see any advantage, itll just trap moisture against the bike and cause more rust. Better to let it have some airflow.

I was told to use hair spray as an adhesive. That's worked fine for my mini bike grips.
What's the easiest way to changing grips??

A small spray of brake cleaner, wedge in the spray nozzle straw between handle bar and grip, it doesn't need to go in far, It will creep enough to twist and pull off the old grips easily. Putting on the new grips the same way, spray a little in the grips and you can easily slip them on and put them the way you like it.
The brake cleaner is volatile, within a minute the new grips will be just as fixated as the old ones. Some grips are bolted with a very small allen key screw, those just slip on over the handle bar and are screwed tight. (Don't overtighten)
