A cafe racer Suzuki GS 1000 Bombardier.

If a hard winter and riding on motorcycles are two incompatible things, but your passion is consistently high at any time of the year, there will be the only way - you can build motorcycles in winters.

The desire to see in the garage a cafe racer and an irrepressible appetite to try myself in rebuilding something Japanese for example, led to the fact, that Suzuki GS1000G of 1982 appeared in my hands. By the way, the bike arrived from Holland shortly before this.

Large and powerful, with the right frame (from the point of view of a cafe racer), with beautiful, open engine, and a pleasant set of options and technical characteristics. Perhaps the only thing it lacked was a dynamic, muscular appearance, but I have tried to solve this problem, while preserving and using the arsenal of donor parts and units that I had at my disposal, trying to stay in the stylistics of a cafe racer.

The project details:
* Donor - the Suzuki GS 1000 G of 1982. The engine capacity is 997cm3, air-cooled, with 90 hp of power, drive cardan, adjustable front fork and air shock absorbers from the rear, disc brakes. Full disassembly (except the engine), restoration, painting, replacement of oil seals, oils, candles, filter, pads.

* Frame, little changes (was shortened, the supports of the passenger steps were removed).

* Clipons, headlight holder, part of the device panel are handmade.

*Tail part, the seat - from fiberglass, metal, leather - are handmade.

* Silencers are shortened, thermal tape is handmade.

More details about the work done, the concept, exploitation and further adventures of the motorcycle, you'll find in the following posts ...
