Adventures of YB125 in Chile, part 4

Let's continue...

And in the morning the silence of the night continued with the sunrise ... The Flamingos were quietly asleep somewhere in the middle of the lake and it was like a pink island.

In Chilean Atacama you can find four kinds of flamingos. We did not look for differences among the seen, but from Peruvian they exactly differ at least in color. How many have we already seen them, starting with Mexico, and it's impossible to stop photographing!

Our paths coincided with the route of the rare cars rally of Los Inkas from Argentina to Peru :) It is unclear how this works, but at the sight of the various beautiful and old cars in the middle of Atacama, we were overwhelmed with childish delight! We gladly passed cars and exchanged greetings with the pilots.

Only the wind remains invisible in the photographs. Strong, piercing, trying to eternally take away something - the tip of the scarf, the hair or removed glove.

And of course, we could not leave the tourist patch in Atacama without looking at the petroglyphs. The only thing we paid for. The woman at the entrance in the Chinese hat spoke in Spanish unintelligible, but it was still possible to understand that the land and money from it belong to the commune.
The booklet says that the age of petroglyphs is 11 thousand years, but this is a little doubtful. On the Internet, another dating is about 5000 years. In any case, even those who know nothing about it like us are well aware of different styles and cultures in the drawings, and this, of course, is cool! About 1000 stones with drawings during the route are approximately 7 km. Only the sun terribly scorching.

This is all about Atacama. In the next parts, we want to talk about Valparaiso and Santiago. Maybe we'll show the whale ...
