Blue ridge parkway trip…

About a 6 hour trip with travel, eating, sightseeing, etc.. One of my favorite spots in the smokies…Devil’s Courthouse and Looking Glass Rock…

    Blue Ridge Parkway is such a beautiful road and looks like you went at a great time. During our last trip from FL to PA last month, we hopped on around Linville Falls, NC until it turned into Skyline Dr., then up to Gettysburg. We had to pull off onto 40 around Woolwine for a little bit due to construction on BRP and wow was it technical but fun! It was a nice little surprise if you like Tail of the Dragon.

      Lil GS Lady Wanker, My wife and I used to live up in western NY and would ride down the coast to Charleston and then ride back up the Parkway and Skyline drive. We liked it so much down here, we relocated 25 years ago. I enjoy the Dragon, but with all the traffic (thanks internet), I usually stick to the curvy mountain roads that they haven’t named yet so they can sell t-shirts.

        Dennis S., I totally agree. The time we went in 2020 there was a good bit of traffic then as well. We found curvy roads all over the place though that were equally as fun. My favorite by far is Cherohala Skyway though!

        Funny you mentioned relocating. My husband and I are thinking the same. We lived in TX and CO before FL, but are thinking NC, VA, KY or somewhere around there. FL isn't the best place for riding lol. Had I been able to predict the future and known I'd get into motorcycles we probably would have stayed in CO. ?

          Lil GS Lady Wanker, you don't want to do va at least not right now. shitty state to live in. NC is a whole lot better. I'm in Northern VA right now but we are moving to AL soon.

      Jarrod Haynes, Hopefully it’ll be warmer for you…we had a cold snap and it dropped to the mid-50s for our ride out to Devils Courthouse…it was cold up on the mountain!!!!
