I was plugging in my Garmin last weekend.

The part of the job I found most daunting was removal of the side panels. Ive knocked up a guide to try to help anyone else thinking of removing these.

This is only a guide based on my experiance, please be careful, it is all to easy to break the hooks and location pins, you should not need excessive force at any point.

Front side panel removal:

Must be done in order 

IMPORTANT Ensure that the location pin has been released (See Stage One) before attempting to move panel forward Before removing panel completely disconnect traction control switch plug (and fog lights if fiited) on inside of panel. I could not remove the front panel completely as i have Givi Crash bars fitted but it did allow me enough clearance to do what i needed too. Black panel removal:
