Built, not bought. From a cheap stock bike to a 300cc custom Scrambler
This Beretta 150cc China bike cost me around $800 a new one....And it looked something like this... very popular in Dominican republic. 
It was okay until it got rusty and it was time to think about it... make a completely new custom or buy a new bike..
I chose the hard way, but it was way more fun. The goal was to build a Scrambler. I’ve always liked the look and aimed for something similar to a Triumph Scrambler.
So I started with the back of the bike and ruthlessly chopped off the tail.
Sadly, I don't have photos of the whole process since I never planned on posting it. But as time went on, I ended up with something like this...
It still wasn't the exact bike I envisioned, but it definitely looked better than before. The only problem? It still had the original 150cc engine. With the new wheels, it practically refused to move—it just didn't have enough power. 😄
A little while later, I bought a brand new 300cc engine straight from the factory. I stripped the bike down to the bare frame, completely painted and restored everything, got a new gas tank, and started putting it all back together...
In the end, I got what I wanted.... Dialing in all the final details took a while longer. Obviously, it’s not a factory Triumph or some big-budget shop build... but I’m proud of the result. Would I do it all over again, though? Probably not. 😂
