First introduced in 2003, the Ducati Multistrada was something of an oddball from the getgo. Despite being billed as a supermoto-sport-tourer hybrid, it had few of the items necessary for it to perform off-road. But Italy-based North East Custom has an eye for the essentials, and they can spot good bones for a build when they see ’em. Having already knocked it out of the park with their first Multistrada custom, they’re stepping up to bat for a second swing.
When given a futuristic refresh, the Multistrada finally knows what it wants to be: a kickass supermoto that’s ready to rip. The setup features a new angular tank inspired by the Ducati trellis frame and fitted with a custom filler cap from a Honda Hornet. Paired with a bench seat supported by a custom subframe, it makes for a ride that’s both eye-catching and comfortable. Up front, the cockpit retains the stock Multistrada bars, updating them with new paint and a slew of Motogadget components. Lighting is taken care of via a Rigid Industries LED headlight, bar-end signals, and a sweet CNC-machined tail-piece. But the cherry on top has to be the two-into-one stainless steel Vire exhaust unit.
