The 1970s meets the modern age with the suzuki GT380 motorcycle custom by motoworks. bathed in an iridescent pearl white finish, sean pelletier – founder of the rochester, new york state-based workshop – has given a mid-1970 model a particularly geometric, technologically driven makeover. it was, in fact, nearly virtually all created using CAD processes.
The custom of the suzuki GT380 by motoworks defines a sports style build. its geometric design, especially noticeably when seen from its side silhouette, was designed in 3D with the help of industrial designer jeremy lacy. a new frame was built and integrated with the fuel and oil tanks, both fitting under the custom fiberglass cover. this extends into the subframe which also holds the sunken seat – a leather commission created by new church moto. the light brown saddle contrasts dramatically with the CNC-machined bodywork that is finished in a pearlescent warm white.
At the front of the bike, a HID headlight has been fitted flush into the fairing whilst, at the rear, a unique brake light has been fashioned from polycarbonate. other details of the modernized design include custom clip-ons and rearsets, back end suspension by öhlins shock, and hubs designed and machined in house before being powdercoated. To complete, the three-cylinder motor was rebuilt with a mild tuning. custom covers were added as well as a new exhaust with stainless steel expansion chambers, which are ceramic coated in a satin black finish.&
