We've featured more than our fair share of amazing custom Harley-Davidson motorcycles conceived by the Japanese shop known as Badland, and for good reason - the company routinely churns out some of the coolest bikes on the planet. The latest is more of an old-school throwback to the 1990s, however - not some futuristic-looking ride - a Fat Boy wearing flames and featuring a laundry list of modifications.

This particular Fat Boy started life as a 2009 model, but has since gone under the knife and is now known simply as "Too Rise." What that means is anybody's guess, but we're more concerned with the work that went into transforming a stock Fat Boy into something truly unique and special.

In terms of paint, Badland went old school with a classic combination of a black base and orange/yellow flames, which in this case feature more of a vintage hot rod vibe than anything else. However, there's much more to this build than a simple paint job, once you look past the surface.

There's also plenty of chrome featured in this particular build, which is another classic Harley styling element that's quickly giving way to blacked-out trim - just like in the automotive realm. In terms of bodywork, Badland gave the bike its own custom tank, along with a massively wide rear fender.

Clone Speed provided the seat for this build, which is slim enough that it blends perfectly into the Fat Boy's curvy lines. Otherwise, Badland blessed Too Rise with a host of other one-off goods, including the front fender and gauge pod, to name just a few.

Throw in a slick set of custom wheels, and you've got a look that's equal parts vintage and modern, all rolled into one. In terms of mechanical upgrades, the builder didn't list any, so we'll have to assume that they left the bike's powerplant alone.

Regardless, this particular custom Fat Boy is the perfect example of a build that refuses to conform to modern trends, and for that reason, we're digging it. Though some trends come and go, this is a look that's truly timeless, and with any luck, will never go out of style.
