Sebspeed's 750 Slingshot (part 10)
I give you a redesigned seat release, no key but retained the lock housing. Chinese lever adjuster repurposed. The anodize should last longer down there.
Not using factory throttle housing, controls needed updating. Using a ZX10 kill switch, gsxr left switch, and got my hands on an R1 throttle housing. Wasn't sure how hard it would be to fit, turns out, not so bad!
That's the original 750 cable jammed inside the r1 housing. Took a little bending & cutting to make things official, but it's been handled and ready to go now.
Parting shot...
Final fit up of controls was this morning, had to roll the bike back on the lift to check for tank clearance - all good!
And then this fuckery... I really hate wiring. It's so tedious and I'm not fluent in it, so it takes me forever as I quadruple check everything so I don't run the risk of having to dig up a mistake after its all together.

Coils seemed to make sense here,
And the switch controls I'm taking a break from while I post this update...
Left side switch done. Gauge later, I'm beat.
Small shelf of aluminum to connect the coil ends and keep the wires up out of view. Dtilled extra holes for zip ties.
Funnel for 2nd test fire, 1st test on ether was good.
Pile of rags underneath, just in case...
Finishing up some little things... forgot to take pics of most, but most of it was boring... tighten bolts, plug this into that, etc...Forgot to trim this piece off the body before paint... oops
Carefully made it tidy,
Married these 3 carb vents.
And then I rolled it outside.
